Congrats to Boston! One of the original six.
Congrats indeed, I thought it'd be closer than it was but the Bruins worked out Luongo and the Canucks were clueless against Thomas. Comprehensively outplayed.

Saying that, the fluky Bergeron shortie was the killer blow, Van were pressuring Boston something chronic and then that happened - a little game changer :)

I'm not a hockey fan, but caught the end when they were passing out the trophies. What's the story behind the Vancouver fans booing the commissioner? Couldn't even hear what he was saying.

Second funniest joke of all time and he doesn't get it, despite being in it.

It would be hard to find a Canadian hockey fan who would have a kind word to say about (or to) Gary Bettman. Probably many American hockey fans also have issues with him. He is pure "suit" (came to NHL from NBA), which does have advantages for running the league as a business. Also, pure lawyer. But no hockey heart.

Ask him a straight yes/no question, wait five minutes until he finishes talking, and then note that he didn't answer the question.

Let's put it this way: Gary Bettman is commonly referred to by hockey fans as "the poison dwarf." It's not one thing about him, it's everything. But the key thing would be that (until two weeks ago), he had been at the helm as teams consistently left traditional hockey markets (read: Canada and other places with snow) and went to desert or near-tropical parts of the US.

I loved that moment. They'd boo Bettman, then cheer the team that just defeated them. (I need a super-evil-big-grin here).

Oh, and mandatory shot at the Canucks. I hate those guys (sorry, footsteps, they're evil). How did we (Blackhawks) lose to such a bunch of gritless chokers?

Speak of the simul-posting devil... ;)

Everything footsteps said, too. Bettman is just...ugh.

I love you too, Spencer. ;) The "inside their head" demon has moved from the 'Hawks to the Bruins. After three awesome rounds, my 'Nucks went Jekyll & Hyde. Ugh.

Well, there's always next year.

Never said I didn't  you, bud. You just had the misfortune of being born in BC. ;)

There is indeed next year. Hoping to get that demon back where he belongs...
