Here's an interesting creature.. apparently the one and only of them actually fought in June 1940 just before the surrender.

British Gun Carrier Mk I.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_Carrier_Mark_I
Based upon the Tank Mk 1 and carrying a 60lbr (5"/127mm), most of the time they were used to carry supplies. The gun was supposed to be dismounted, though it could be fired from the Carrier.
Not the equivalent of a StuG, more a cross between a Wespe and a Portee.

Not an assault gun you might want to meet......none apparently left the testing grounds for combat duty, however.

I can't see any image, only the "[ IMG ]" text.
Odd. That's usually a cookie issue with the target site, and I have viewed the post on multiple machines with multiple browsers, and so have viewed it without access to the cookies. Anyway, I have now uploaded the image instead.

Just after posting, I right clicked on the "[ IMG ]" and used "Show Image" which worked and showed the image as a page. I have a fair number of sites blocked by my firewall and that may have screwed around with something or links to something on that site, sorry. I can see the image on this page fine now, thanks.

Other than that image and copies, I can find no solid match. However a Wiki page on Hornsby (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Hornsby_&_Sons) shows 2 machines with an almost identical suspension. The WW1 rival tracked tractor manufacturer Holt used a different suspension, so I am inclined to believe it's a Hornsby, apparently very few of which were manufactured.
