Any news on what HoB are working on? Are they alive? No news from a lot of time...
hmmm.. interesting. I guess if that works for them, it works for us. The only thing better than a surprise..is an ASL surprise I suppose.HOB is always incommunicative,
Didn't notice the bold.... but what do you expect from Mark?--- I think we know enough from BFP to know that they deliver quality stuff and service it. Now Pitman, I think is a decent guy.... but, he is very predictableHOB is always incommunicative, and even when it does communicate, does not like to talk about future products (something that BFP inherited from them), so in a sense this is nothing new.
Is it me or does it seem like BFP is passing HOB in popularity and output?Any news on what HoB are working on? Are they alive? No news from a lot of time...
They, in general, keep very quiet until about future projects until they are ready to put into production and for pre-order. The only exception that I can think of is the Peleliu CG. B&J only got mentioned far in advance of its release because of production delays and problems. HG 2 was only announced when it was put up on pre-order a few days ago.Not sure what Pitman is thinking when he mentions BFP does not communicate as the masses knew about Beyond the beachhead, Op Cobra, Into the rubble, and Blood and Jungle way in advance and we already know about the Peleliu CG in play test and High ground II coming out and..![]()
It's not you.Is it me or does it seem like BFP is passing HOB in popularity and output?
I was talking to Shaun on VASL last week, must have been the same night that he and Mike were playing the Tennis Court and he said not to hold our breath but it was still a live project with a ways yet to go.FWIW, I recall seeing a PT of a scenario called "Tennis Court" last week on VASL. Obviously, Kohima. The room was locked, so no more intel than that.
I even get Twitter updates from BFT about upcoming products, seems informative enough.HOB is always incommunicative, and even when it does communicate, does not like to talk about future products (something that BFP inherited from them), so in a sense this is nothing new.
I love HOB for the stuff they made and bought most, but (even) letting their domain name expire doesn't inspire a lot of confidence as to how active HOB still is.The output is clear. Popularity more arguable, inasmuch as HOB's last several products have been on fairly specialized themes that by their nature would not have as wide appeal as some of BFP's. Kohima, which HOB has been working on for many years, would be another fairly specialized product, but one of great interest to me, anyway. I'm glad to hear there's evidence they are still working on it, as I have been concerned about HOB's continued existence (and the BFP reprint of HG did nothing to allay that concern).
I think at the moment BFP are top of the pile, in terms of product quality, when it comes to TPP followed closely by LFT.Is it me or does it seem like BFP is passing HOB in popularity and output?
