Mark P. already pointed it outin another thread, but it's here:

http://www.multimanpublishing.com/preorder/viewGame.php?id=89

Looks good to me. A couple articles I know and respect, another couple I've heard good of, and some off-the-beaten-path scenarios. $15? Yes, please.

Also like the SL scen 2 cover to OA1's SL scen 1 cover... Does this mean OA3 will be a combo issue of OA1 & 2 with a few tanks thrown in? ;)

Could be fun to have a list of the scenario and the original module where they're published... the first two seem to be published into panzer ace... (what's that?) but the other i don't know.

The scenarios are "tournament-themed," that is, scenarios which were either designed to be played at a specific tournament, or were released at a specific tournament as part of a "pack" of some sort. They are:

Panzer Aces tournament pack:

Panzers Forward! – Guise, France, 17 May 1940; French vs. German
Parry and Strike – Letila Heights, Russia, 29 October 1944; Russians vs. German

Cancon 2006 tournament:

The Queen’s Prequel – Montecorvino, Italy, 9 September 1943; German vs. British
Revenge of the Greys – Montecorvino, Italy, 9 September 1943; German vs. British
Gunter Strikes Back – Montecorvino, Italy, 9 September 1943; British vs. German

Pete Shelling ASLOK Tournament Scenarios:

After The Disaster – Dzerzhinin, Poland, 5 October 1944; Russian vs. German
A Midnight Clear – Trois Ponts, Belgium, 24 December 1944: American vs. German

ASLOK XX Anniversary Scenario Pack:

Buying Time – Port-Lyautey, Morocco, 8 November 1942; American vs. French
Side By Side – Medjez el Bab, Tunisia, 19 November 1942; Fr./Brit./Amer. vs. German

Gun Duel Tournament:

Vogt’s Ritterkreuz – Hatert, Holland, 10 May 10 1940; Dutch vs. German
Long Range Recon – Butovo, Russia, 3 July 1943; German vs. Russian

The Southern Cross Tournament:

Where Iron Crosses Grow – Berlin, Germany, 21 April 1945; German vs. Russian
The Amy H - Arras, France, 22 May 1940; British vs. German
Raider Ridge – Choi River, New Georgia, 29 June 1943; Japanese vs. U.S. Marine
With Friends Like These – Fedala, Morocco, 8 November 1942; French vs. American
The Riley Shuffle – Irsch, Germany, 24 February 1945; German vs. American (previously titled Scratch Force)

Many have undergone some balance adjustments; and all of them have had their "language" standardized to "official" specs.

Nice scenario choice that gives something to veterant players, well done !

Curious about the panzer gegen panzer revision as there was many rules issues (plus the rules changes in between) with this articles as far as I remember.

I look foward this one.

Bruce Bakken revised Panzer gegen Panzer to bring it in to line with V2 of the rule book.

Chas, the scenario list looks really good. Most I haven't seen before, which makes this a real bonus at $15.

Cool. That's even better than I thought. I have like, none of those.

PS Yes, I knew many of these were on DM, but there's something about having them printed. Irrational, yes, but there it is. :)

The original versions of some of these have been floating aound the internet for some time, and we really wanted to do something different than just reprint; so that's where the idea of using lesser-known scenarios from various tournaments came from. It has turned out to be a very nice mix, with some "old" and "new" styles. Hopefully everyone will find something new.

Most folks probably know Mark has had the Southern Cross and Gun Duel scenarios on his site for some time. Looks like a good mix - only one PTO scenario, but that is probably okay, given what we've already seen this year. I'll be interested to see what the board mix is. Pre-orders are at about 160, so at that pace we should hit the required number within a week or so.

Chas - will the scenario cards retain their original (non-counter) artwork? If I remember correctly the original OA had the same illustration graphic for all of the scenarios. I always thought a good picture or sketch added to the scenario presentation even if it wasn't exactly from the action that was the subject of the scenario.

So are these articles from the Annuals?

I own only 1 annual ('93a) and I think 2 of the 6 articles I already have. What are the chances. So are these the best of the best Annual articles?

A side question, how was the ASL Classic magazine and what would the chances of getting the articles as a download since the scenario's are already available?

The articles are from the General and the Annual, all updated to v2 of the ASL rule book, as needed.

I'll check on the Classic articles.

This is my situation as well. Almost all of these are "new" to me.

A bargain at less than a buck a scenario.

Preordered. For me, and I suspect many others, this will be 100% new.

"Thank you! The same picture on each scenario was a big turn off for OA1."

Unless that same picture is Chas' avatar, in which case I approve.
