PBS procedure: *IMPORTANT* The bids represent the number of points worth of balance provisions they are willing to give up to their opponent to play that side. Each provision has a bid point value. If both players bid the same side then the higher bid gets that side. The OPPONENT decides which provisions will apply. For example in Acts of Defiance, if player A bids R6 and player B bids R5, player A is the Russian and player B is the German. Player B then selects up to 6 points of balance provisions (in this case Player B selected B, C and D, but other combinations are possible). Any number of balance provisions can be selected, but each balance provision can only be selected once. If players bid opposite sides both players receive the results of the bid. In this case, both sides simultaneously secretly determine which PBS provisions will apply and then reveal them. If both players make the same bid, a DR is used to randomly decide which player gets which side. Unless both players agree, bidding is done after Rubble generation.

We have a few guys coming a little later on Friday. If you play fast, you might be able to play one of the main round scenarios. However, for most of you, that will not be an option. Moonlight Drive would be a good choice if you are comfortable with playing a night scenario. It is a good scenario. If you are not comfortable with night then I will work with the players to come up with a suitable substitute. I want players to have fun. Except for Sean Deller - I want to torture him...

Poor Sean. As if not making it to ASLOK and hearing that Cirillo won is not torture enough--Bill told me he keeps a spreadsheet of all his scenarios and he and Bill are 50/50 at ~200 playings.

You'll have to take a number, Steve; there's a looong line for that. (I believe Gary Mei is at the head of it).

In all fairness, Bill has inched ahead 51-49%. However...I own the last two beatdowns. :p
I really wish I could have been there to congratulate him. What an impressive accomplishment.:thumbsup:

On the original listings I had the wrong scenario IDs for FrF87 Mormal Forest and FrF86 Belgian Tigers. The scenario list and PBS have been corrected up thread.

I have rolled up several sets of rubble rolls for the Operation Turnscrew scenarios that will happen Saturday-Sunday (Mini and regular play). This will take a bit of the set up out of the way. If you play the scenario, then you come up to me and I will give you a sheet of paper with all the counters you need to add to the map. It should make it easy to get going. No excuse for not playing these fun scenarios...

Is anyone bringing printed copies of the map? If someone has printed up copies can you PM or email me please. I want to see about having a few maps printed up if not enough guys are bringing them.

Tried a couple of them on the weekend. Definitely interesting and playable.

What I like is that the three smaller scenarios all have a bit of a different vibe to them. I think it is a well done product. For the price, it is a bargain, IMHO...

How very helpful of you to eliminate the most time consuming part of the Turnscrew battle.
And yes, for those who haven't played this HASL yet, you're going to have a lot of fun.

is the Overlay I (Schwerpunkt ?) required for playing SP 258 Operation Blackwater available for VASL ?

It is a little tricky to consider this scenario without the key overlay.
