Well it has been mentioned on this site, though I cannot find the post, that Critical Hit was also trying to get the license.
While I have no doubt CH would have liked to buy the ASL license, I've never heard anyone claim that Hasbro ever took a phone call from CH to discuss it, much less set up a meeting. If the owner won't talk to you about a sale, it doesn't really matter if you'd like to buy something or not...

If CH ever had discussions with someone at Hasbro about buying ASL, then I stand corrected, but it would be news to me...

[PS, the Mila thread is wasted ban width, but some are into that. Thanks, Don, for providing it.]
Yep it is, but its worthy wasted bandwidth :) As opposed to incessant banging on and on about how certain companys are just crap. If it was Tater banging on about CH (as he is wont to do at times), he'd get the same amount of **** about it - I even put him on ignore for a while last time, until he'd got it out of his system, something I've never done with Marcus.

Grow up!

>Well it has been mentioned on this site, though I cannot find the post, that Critical Hit was also trying to get the license.

Imagine that. Portal has backed himself into a corner and one of his Canadian buddies is trying to bail him out. Where have I seen this before?

'Trying' to get the license is not 'talking' with Hasbro as he has claimed or shall we say misinformed two different times on this very topic.

I will ask him again:

1) Who were the 'other players' talking with Hasbro?

He is strangley silent, which is so unlike him.
I am not backing up Portal, and your tone is offensive, I was attempting to politely answer the question.

As I recall there were apparently a few parties bargaining with Hasbro, MMP came up with the best proposal.

Perhaps the next time you get on one of your Critical Hit rants, you should pre-qualify that you used to contribute to their magazine, something I found shocking after all your rants about them, is there a personal reason there?

As far as Portal and his MMP rants, I have stated my opinion of his constant attacks, I know he can make up his own mind and he chooses to carry on, fine with me, I do not have to read his stuff, but I choose to as some of the retorts are rather funny, and he does, sometimes, make a good point.

Thanks, I do what I can. There's so many people I'd like to thank... :vsign:

that is one nice looking lady, but, can she change a tire?
and my question about that 2nd photo would be whether she's lying on her stomach on a mattress with no sheets on it or facing a wall with fancy wallpaper.

I did not used to contribute to CH. I owned CH in partnership with RT, so I had full knowledge of what was happening. Thus, my distate as I could not stand to be a part of what was going on.

Portal's misinformation is pure speculation. He has ZERO knowledge of what happened during MMP's purchase of the ASL license, but yet he is making statements in numerous places as fact.

Can you not see the difference?

Also, please show me the rants I made against CH?

MMP's obligation

Portal,
I think MMP sole obligation is to remain solvent, if you don’t like the approach they have taken to achieve it, I think you have several options; 1.Buy them out and try to run your own company 2. Find another game to play 3. Live with it.

I see the difference, but, that still does not explain why there was a discussion, on these forums, about the negotiations with Hasbro, and there were other parties, it was I who speculated it was CH as the thread mentioned a large TPP, who was in competition with MMP.

I did not know you were an owner of CH, that puts your posts in another perspective, sorry you got fed up with them.

I wish I could find that other thread, it was interesting and led me to believe that the talks were rather heated at one point.

Good, fair post. I've been doing a lot of #2 lately, as I'm having a blast with a couple of Clash of Arms WWII tactical games: Fighting Wings series (air combat) and Command at Sea (naval combat). I encourage anyone who wants to expand their WWII tactical repertoire beyond land combat to give them a shot. They're a lot of fun.

On the #3 front, I have next to no expectations of MMP anymore (other than to lay off mucking with the ASL rules mid-edition unnecessarily any further) so this is getting easier. I am genuinely concerned about the lack of a couple major nationalities being available for newbies coming out from the Starter Kits.

W.r.t. #1, if a coalition of players with some $$$ want to talk, drop me a PM. :)

WOW.

She "Matured" very BEAUTIFULLY...... :hail::bounce::shock:

Now if I can get the Brunette Vixen Beer maid in my hotel to0o.......:surprise:

SOem things are left unsaid....:clown:
And his avatart before that was Carice van Houten, another fine looking lady. IMHO Chas has the best taste in avatarts... although Psycho and others have stumbled across a few nice ones. Chas just hits the mark with so much more consistency though.

I also like the fact that he posts them "anonomously". Adds to the mystery of trying to figure just who the heck that babe is.

OT: When the ASL forums are as boring as they have been lately its great to have Chas out their providing some respite.

I'm surrounded by freakin morons

I'll go ahead and clear up all this nonsense.

Soon after that dirtbag Nixon betrayed me I spent months just hitchhiking across the country. One day this big dude in a Phillies jersey pulled over to give me a lift. Holy crap! It was Curt Schilling. We chatted during the trip and he offered me a job. I was to handle all the little jobs - go get him a burger, open his beers (for a big strong dude he has really soft hands), make prank calls to Ray Tapio in the middle of the night, buy his pornography, spit on bums begging for money, download Swedish snuff films - that he didn't have time to worry about. I even tried to teach him to throw a knuckleball... what a waste of time that was. I was able to teach him how to throw a splitter which has become his "out" pitch.

He was making a nice chunk of change playing baseball but he was racking up selling bootleg DVDs on the street and needed to hide where all the cash was coming from. I told him about the ASL deal and he thought it was the perfect opportunity. Keith was his pool boy and Brian was just some dude that came to the door selling encyclopedias. Perry was a bartender and always seemed to have good advice so I suggested he hire him for rules questions.

Everything was going great until Nixon crashed Curt's birthday party and ate the last piece of cake! I lost it and trashed Curt's condo so he fired me.
