I think they are down in the chitchat area instead of up here. I'd check Tom's previous posts and scroll thru them for it if you can't find it using the Advanced Search thingy up top.Are they on vasl.org or are they here somewhere? I would also like to get these boards loaded onto my vasl.
Semper Fi!

I found it in the regular forums section...sorry, but I'm not sure how to post the link to other threads. Find one of Tom Repetti's posts...click on his screen name...click on the "find other posts" option...it's a few pages down (maybe three or four), but I found the link there and was able to download thes two maps. I've not heard anything about the overlays though.Anyone managaed to get ahold of these yet?
jeez, spw, that's a tad harsh - the folks that create the products have different interests/expertise from the basement-dwellers that can VASLize it! NTM that they'd like to at least break even dollar-wise when they distribute, whereas the VASLizers are doin' it for love. No, and I'm not buying another HASL that isn't VASL'ized.
There, I said it.
Don't care if people think it's whining. Not in a caring mood, I guess.
If you put out a game pack with anything that makes it non-playable on VASL the minute I get it- then forget it.
:salute:
That would be so cool. It would be a shame that those who can only play by VASL cannot get to play these fine scen. on some of the best maps out there. These are some fun maps to play on. The terrain can really change a lot just by wether the RRs a GL or EM.we still need the overlays to be vaslized - any vasl cabal members up to the challenge?
Sure. I also sent them to Rodney for posting on the VASL boards download section; usually takes him a few days to get to it.I got them now. I could just post the links here for others - Tom is that ok?
Yeah, I guess I was a bit harsh. Thanks for your comments.jeez, spw, that's a tad harsh - the folks that create the products have different interests/expertise from the basement-dwellers that can VASLize it! NTM that they'd like to at least break even dollar-wise when they distribute, whereas the VASLizers are doin' it for love.
Over time, creators'll be paying more attention to VASLization, 'specially as they realize that the play-test pond is much larger when it can be done in VASL.
So your buy / notbuy decision should be based on whether or not you like the product, not on whether or not it's also available in VASL.
But it's tough enough to be a game-designer in the ASL environment, w/o adding in that they gotta know how to make ctrs & maps & overlays and be sure their map can change to Mud EC in the approved VASL manner.
I'd imagine that there will continue to be a time-lag between any MMP or TPP release & its VASLization, which could only be shortened by increasing the number of VASLizers.
Going into my 2nd year of being a VASL player.Steve,
Actually, I think most active ASL players recognize the level of positive impact VASL has had on the game. The few exceptions seem to reside in Ohio.![]()
