Just a hint for your Russian opponent: He does not need to set up his Fortified Building Location "in sight". He can HIP it until the protective TEM is used or the Germans try to enter it while occupied by at least one Russian squad equivalent.

In this scenario all and every hex and location of X4 is a fortified building location and I just placed that there to remind us (me mostly), lol.

But your point is taken and that FBL can setup HIP.

Resolved to get my British OOB re-sorted by the end of the week. It's been lying dormant for two months on the worktable. This coincides with my wife opening the closed door to that bedroom and calling me at work to say I had to "do something with that mess."
My wife has also made mention of the mess on the kitchen table. As she calls it. In fairness it has been there since just after Christmas. 😂

Thank God I have a separate game room that she never goes in, it is not a mess, I have scenarios constantly going on and off the main table but keep it neat and functional. I also have a cover for the main table to keep the cats out of my scenarios.

At the ASL Scenario Archive, I updated my collection with my CASLO raffle prize of the 10th Mountain Division pack from the Kansas City group. The Archive told me I now have 3,460 scenarios.

I added "Twilight of the Reich" recently, pushing me to 3,800 something. Not counting electronic stuff.

I reckon, I have played something between 550 and 600 altogether.
So unless it turns out that I am an Elf, I'll never some close to play all of them in this world.

This and the fact that currently so much things are published are the reason that I have started passing up some things that I would have bought in the past.

Mine shows:

Owns: 6800 Scenarios

I am sure some of those are dupes of stuff like BV1, BV2 and BV3 etc.

Today I got to remember (relearned) how light mortars (C9.2) can fire at me using ATT and remembered and experienced the crazy rates of fire they can get. I also experienced a bazooka fired at my from two hexes away and recalled its to hit table and C3, C5 and C6.

Shucks and I have barely scratched the rule book, but am able to play with chapters A, B, and C.

Maybe chapter D is not too far off, but lets not put the cart before the horse...
