I hope to see something similar from him in the first round of the doubles tournament !Turns 17-18-19
I try to establish a new defensive line, but Veers is chasing me up the boot!
I hope, but I am facign an extremely veteran, and able, opponent. He's ranked 7th All-time and 2nd among active players, by WARS rating. It'll be a challenge, for sure.I hope to see something similar from him in the first round of the doubles tournament !
...and destructed...The "last hope" defense line is being manned :upset:

German resistance has stiffened considerably; the battles to cross the Po were particularly bloody.
The end is in sight though. Too bad I wasn't able to put up such a defense earlier in the campaign, at Anzio, Cassino etc...12/9-11/43 T27
General:
The bloodiest battles of the Italian campaign are now being fought.
Well, I don't know about impossible [I've seen a couple ladder reports (and one AAR) of successful German defences], but, hard, yeah.I've never played this scenario but as solitaire and not beyond T15 or so, IIRC. However, I've heard a German defense is impossible. After a while you run out of quality units.
Yep. Chuck has certainly done a good job in simulating Italian terrain. It's defeinately being considered (already was, in fact, before I started playing it this time).Veers, in playing Gothic Line right now, if you're still considering making an Italian Campaign scenario, I suggest studying how the terrain is done in that one. Limiting off road/non-clear to the infantry.
