Burma 2 AP, tentatively titled: 'Race To Rangoon!', is almost ready. Need Playtesters for one last look.

I wish I could help ya but but the newer versions of VASL do not work, but if you are using 6.6.31 then I can help you if you like. Anyway, I am looking forward to this pack, Burma is so under represented in ASL I think.
Thanks Scott!

I'm officially retired and only doing sporadic peer review and light lab work now so I have my free time back. With these changes I plan to jump back into gaming and ASL in particular.
I noticed that your activity here (and in the workshop working on storage solutions for your kit) has recently seen a sharp increase. Now I understand the reason.

The cat has jumped... 👍

Enjoy all the extra time that is now available to your hobbies!
You can be sure that many of us will be looking forward to being regaled with new scenario designs, Fort-boards, etc.

Cheers,
von Marwitz

I’m more lucky that Jim has returned. Putting up with me is not what most would consider a bonus. ;)
The quality of your play and what you can teach more than makes up for you being a curmudgeonly old fart. I'd play you in a heartbeat if the fire hadn't extinguished and I still knew the game. Plus it would interfere with the consumption of refreshments. 🤪😋

Merry Christmas old shipmate. 😘

Anyone interested in looking over 10 scenarios and 3 maps for my next MMP Action Pack on the Burma campaign in 1942?

If you're willing to play a minimum of 3 scenarios at least twice and report back to me your thoughts by the last week in January I would love to have you on board. A copy of the AP and your name in playtesters credits, as well as my eternal gratitude, is what I can offer. There is no 'huge' scenario in this pack (there are two in the follow Burma 3 pack coming later).

I will send the map files and scenarios for you to print out, as well as the VASL map files for the new maps upon acceptance.

After the new year, I will also need playtesters for the aforementioned Burma 3 pack and a novel type of CG that I've been toying with for a few years.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Well I am certainly happy to hear this after our conversations at ASLOK. ;)

You can be the "Action Pack' guy for a while, as I am rather tired.

Thanks for the quick peek on 21a/b & 22a/b, it will worth the wait for them.
A question: What will 20a/b be included in? [as 16a/b - 19a/b are in "Twilight of the Reich"]

Thank you, kingruff. Missed that the first time (damn ADHD).
So, just the three a/b mapboards then.

Any thoughts on this map? Looking for a board 4 feel...
People will wonder if they can bypass L19 and P6 along the pond sides.

Also, what is the MF cost to move between N14 and O14? Is there a +1 hindrance to fire between those hexes?

Thoughts on this one?
The road in D19 doesn't serve the wooden building. Seems odd. Not sure how to fix.

And I'm not feelin' the graveyards in this urban environment. Shrug.

Also also - G13 and K13 have round stairwells while the rest of the building doesn't. That's .... new.... Whoa! G9 and G10 also! Why, you're PUSHIN' THE ENVELOPE, GARY!
Um. Assuming those aren't mistakes, I'd love to hear how those buildings are played. I'm hopeful it's a smooth-playing change that is very welcome.

Lastly, I guarantee somebody on the playtest team will tell you they can't tell the Rowhouse bars from the normal buildings because they're not thick enough.

No! Not "lastly"! One more! If I heard you correctly, I heard you say, "Please feel free to suggest new terrain on this map". Good idea - what this map NEEDS is... <drum roll>... <wait for it>.... <waaaaait>.... A hexside pond in G4/H4! zOMG!
