Re: CH: ASLComp Products for 2008?

If CH doesn't ship it before Xmas of this year, then Toktong will ship shortly after the New Year. I know of at least three others for '08:

The Spanish Legion Pack - Blue Division near Novgorod, 1941;

(Unnamed) Omaha Beach module.

Total Axis Pack 2.
Most of the following list is for ATS, but these will also (almost certainly) be converted from ATS into the ASLComp line and ship in 2008. The ASLComp versions will have later release dates, which gives us more R&D, playtesting room.

I’ll number the information list for easy review:

1. ATS Personal Leaders are BACK in a short-run (fast turnaround) batch coupled with another print run. What that means is if we can fill up a half-sheet between now and December 17, 2007 we’ll print them. If not, you will NOT be billed. We may not have another batch for months so NOW is the time to reward yourself with a little holiday gift. Please note: We can do Elite Tank Commanders as well as NCO and Officer counters for all published nationalities, plus WW I, Vietnam War, and American Civil War combatants -- for those that want such counters in advance of the games from this era.

2. ASLComp Personal Leaders are also BACK, noting the same timing and nationality parameters as ‘1’ above.

3. ESCAPE FROM CHOSIN: TOKTONG PASS 1950 (ASLComp) is about to be printed AT LONG LAST. To those that already ordered, thank you. Chinese Communist Forces, US Marines in winter uniforms, the Sikorsky HO3S-1 helicopter and the M26 Pershing tank all make appearances in this new historical module.

4. AIRBORNE STAND (ASLComp) is the remake of the popular KELLAM’S BRIDGE with an all new, standard hex size map with attractive art. If you’ve been looking for Kellam’s Bridge for all these years, you’ll want to nail this historical module.

5. SURPRISED OUTSIDE OF STRASS (ATS) brings the work of another new designer, Mike Nagel, to your gaming table. Many of you may know Mike through his design “Flying Colors” and word of his upcoming ATS Attu Island design. The Hurtgen Forest is the setting for SURPRISED OUTSIDE OF STRASS and an all new 24” x 18” map brings you to the shattered village of Strass and its outskirts. It is December 1944 and the men of the 3rd Infantry Battalion of the 330th Infantry Regiment, 83rd Infantry Division are advancing out of the dark, damp Hurtgen Forest...in this perfectly playable intro module for the upcoming, massive Vossenack/Schmidt boxed game.

6. AVANTI SAVOIA! (ATS) brings the disaster of the Soviet Winter Counter Offensive of 1941 to the fore with German, Russian, and Italian combined-arms operations playing across two historical maps. All the early Barbarossa toys are there, Stug IIIB, T-26, Pz IIIG, conscripts, and more. It is December 1941 and the looming Moscow offensive has caught the Axis by surprise. They hurl Bersaglieri and Panzergrenadiers into the maelstrom while Hitler demands ‘not one step back’...while YOU, the gamer, experience what that order means to the men and machines at the sharp end in amazing detail.

7. VIRTUAL ATS has been well-received with hundreds of gamers already getting on board via registered download at our site. The feedback about this software has been positive and we aim to get more maps and combatants available in early 2007.

8. BLOODY OMAHA (ATS) is in final production and slated for a FIRM 1st quarter 2008 release.

I wonder if Lone Canuck is going to release anything in '08?

I heard that Liebstandarte Pack 5 was in playtest. This is something that I would find very interesting because it will cover LSSAH's final war years and would complete the series. LSSAH was active in Hungary and Austria in '45 as many of you probably know. Could be a good'n! :smoke:

Hi-

Those of you who's are in an uproar over my stance as far as using my veteran status to publish my SS pack, should go down to thier local recruiter and join up instead of being cowards and making accusations from behind your computers screens.

As far as staus is concerned, Schilling used his celeberty status to snag the ASL license when there were more qualified and dedicated groups like HoB, the WcW or KE that would have done a far better job of keeping ASL inprint then the current license holders.

So put that in your pipe and smoke it!

Scott - I know you are upset

Let it go

Your status here is more important than keeping the argument going

One stupid post in haste and all would be lost for you again

I've worked so hard to make Dezign Pak 4 come to fruition, that I now have some spare time to design a scenario or two for Critical Hit! I just designed one on their excellent "MC 1" map from Total Axis Pack. We are playtesting it now. It's a MASTERPIECE!

I only offer my best designs to CH!. There are two reasons for this. First, they have a wider circulation, and I have a better chance of getting my scenario played if they publish it. And secondly they gave me my start in the scenario design business, they've always treated me with respect, and I like to keep contributing to their products in order to help pay back the consideration I've been shown.

Hopefully my new one will appear in "Total Axis Pack 2" this year (and I hope Dave Lamb doesn't try to change my title...it's pretty extreme).
