Its called PIF extra time.....and not happy with scenario list
as it is today.....
Heck Gary, take your time. Albany is in DECEMBER. I'm sure the vast majority of players would be happy to have it by late September.

This years Albany will take a very long time to prepare for as a player. I also want
to get the list off my back as it is my LAST scenario list as I am retiring from Albany.

Gary,
Just saw that most of the Albany list is posted. Looks like a good mix of scenarios with some interesting toys and VC's. Out of five rounds I've only played three scenarios before so lots of new ground to explore.

I'd still suggest the tournament rule that Molotov use against locations without enemy units is NA. Also you and Steve might wish to revisit the ft vs. afv DRM special rule, since it is critical to J160.

Thanks for doing the work to ensure a strong list.

Paul

Coincidentally, I checked for the PBS this morning and only early Thursday PBS was posted.

We finalized three more rounds the other night....waiting on Pleva to send me
the updates so I can post them up....

We discuss each PBS, go over examples, haggle as we do not always agree and
then come to what we think makes a good bidding situation for each scenario

Who could possibly not agree with you Gary? You are the epitome of reasonableness. Of course, if the other person is wearing a Fez all bets are off

Polish Panzer Jeagers might be tough on the poles, the Germans just have so much stuff they can throw at the poles with impunity. Even though Gary took some serious losses and whined a lot about it, every loss I took was felt. The poles need to defend both hills, so the Germans just crash into one flank and roll it up while keeping the other flank with a token force so the Poles do not move about. Oh ya, that air support is brutal, After whining a river Gary managed to take out two MMG's, two HS and a 9-1 with snake eyes, Gary also took out one 75 with a snake eyes mortar shot. It also did not help that I lost three crews to boxcars either lol.

VASL dicebot still BLOWS and it will NEVER CHANGE. Exactly why you need to bid about
FIVE POINTS to make Polish Panzerjaegers close to even to play....I would play
the Poles with five or six points depending on who I am playing. Many Polish
players have won it straight up as well.

All depends on how the Germans attack...

Played this one with Kev Killeen, by turn 5 it looked bad for the German so we called it. I agree with Trezz on this one. If the pole sets up scattered so as to make the German OBA less effective and positions his guns to facilitate a crossfire, it could be a very close scenario.
If the Pole holds the right hill hexes, plus the one lone building behind the rear hill, and then holds the four rear hill hexes on the left side, he will only need to hold two other hill hexes or 6 pts. in buildings to deny the German enough points.
The planes will take out a gun or two, but then are gone. The big mortar should lay back to smoke the 10-2 when he gets into firing position. Spread out in the central stone buildings so the OBA can't hit more than one unit at a time. Bring your armor in to stop any german infantry coming down the right side of the board toward the "big" hill and don't lose them to cheap mortar shots or OBA.
I do like the Germans in this one, however, as they certainly have the "toys". But, I think the attacker must come in force at the left hill in order to come at the village from the side as opposed to frontally assaulting where the Polish mortars can wreak havoc on the wooded jumping off terrain and one level hill. A small force of infantry with the light mortars moving up the right side of the board will keep enough pressure on the defenders there to hold them in place.
(Note: when I refer to right or left side, I am speaking from the Polish point of view.)
This scenario is not as unbalanced as one might think, you just need to be on your toes defensively. Just sayin'.....

PBS for ALL ROUNDS now posted at www.nys-asl.com

They are provisional for now and will become final on or
around November 1st (most will not change).

Let us know if you see any adjustments or changes needed
to be made. We continually look them over as we read
AAR's and get comments from players.
