Not the 1-4-9 on a counter kind (Well, maybe -- you never know.)

MMP want's to bring the Official 'World Çhampionship of ASL' back to WBC.

For this, they need new scenarios (which will be 'únseen' to the players prior to the tournament.)
6 scenarios, with each round featuring a different aspect of ASL knowledge, skill, or ability required.

Possible theme categories include:

'Át large'
HASL
Bocage
Desert
PTO
Chapter E / (night?)
Heavy metal
Korean War.

Maybe ten years ago, I could do them all. Just ain't got that much jam any more.

So this is a call for help!

If you have a tournament-sized scenario that you have been chewing on for a while that meets one of more of these categories, send it my way. If yours is chosen for that round, it will be published in the next available Journal. If we don't choose it for the championship, maybe we can use it somewhere else. (If not, feedback as to why not will be provided-- i.e. we may just get more than we need for that category)

• MUST use only officially published boards/overlays/ counters.
• Must NOT be seen by anyone who may be competing in the tournament. NO hints on here /Facebook/ Discord etc.
  

Curt has assembled a posse of playtesters who will keep in touch with you during the process, as changes may be needed to ensure balance.

Deadline will be Winter Offensive 2025, but the earlier we can get started on playtest, etc.-- the better the chance we can make yours ready for Prime time.

I will design scenarios for any category for which we don't have a useable submission.

Nice idea. Reminds me of the old school events where scenarios were usually designed by the TD and were unknown to most of the participants. The problem being some of those participants playtested the scenarios. That was not a big deal for me as I would rather play a tested scenario than one not playtested, even against one of the playtesters. Somebody has to do it.

The only issue that I see is the proposed prizes and significance of the event are sure to attract the best players. That somewhat cuts into the pool of qualified playtesters. Still a very minor consideration.

Best of luck with the project Pete! I'll start polishing up Space Guards Counterattack for submission. Damn!! Spilled the beans already.

Bumping this up because Pete is a great guy and the project seems worthwhile.

Don't make me design a scenario, trust me on this. I've never done one but I have ideas. The Spaceport of New Stalingrad. Hill 721. Fighting Withdrawal Symptoms. See where this is going?

Seriously I hope Pete has got some input. All you guys who have had a scenario in mind but have hesitated to work on it this sounds like a fantastic opportunity to give your idea a shot.
