Pretty soon it'll be worth flying to the US just to pick up a suitcase full of ASL products. Actually, that's not a bad idea...
Guess what:
If some of your European buddies find out that you are flying over to ASLOK, you will be asked doing just that...
Alternative alternate method:
You've got a US player of the Armed Forces stationed abroad in Europe. If he is willing, he might be able to get over ASL stuff for cheap - and without customs.
Fun Fact:
Did you know that if you buy a crate of German beer at the PX of a US base in Germany, that it might be cheaper than buying it in a German supermarket?
Up until here, it might sound merely a bit strange. But listen to this:
The crate of beer will be bought by the forces in Germany. It will be then transported by aircraft to some logistics hub in the US. If requested by the PX in Germany, it will be flown back to Germany. There it can be bought at a lower price than in a German supermarket (I think down 19% sales tax).
I thought that this story might be appreciated by all those who groan under the weight of postage and customs duties when ordering a product directly from MMP which has to use normal carriers and procedures...
