Having chewed Copenhagen ("Choke-gagin'", AKA "Scrotum scrapings") for 40+ years, using chew to quit smoking would be distinctly out of the fry pan into the fire....although I was told by an oral surgeon that cancer caused by chew was easier and quicker to detect and treat than cancer caused by smoking....
