Any ETA on the VASLization of the HG2 boards/overlay? I'm sure you guys are all over it, just wondering when it's coming. TIA.

We have the map elves on stand-by, and will send them into the mine shaft as soon as all of the pre-orders are shipped.

Rumors that the Map Elves have been outsourcing the work to cheap Chilean mine shaft labor are completely baseless.

So you only outsource to the really expensive Chilean mine shaft labor? No wonder your prices are out of control.

I hear that in an effort to boost ratings, CNN is trying to put the miners BACK in the mine ... one at a time...

Maybe that will help with your Cheap Chilean Mine Shaft Laborers... :)

The maps are in the hands of the elves now, both in hard copy and the 1s and 0s.

When's it gonna be done, Tom? :p
Workin' on it. Got a family trip to Florida this weekend, but then there's a leg up to sunny Syracuse, where an elf can settle in and get his pixel on.

I'm convinced that boards J and K were designed by elf-haters :)

Groovy. You know I was busting you... But you set the bar so high on FrFA, anything less than light speed can't compete. :D

This also reminds me of a serious question I've been meaning to ask that's relevant to VASLization:

On board BFPJ, hexes S1, S2 and S3 have an extra "shadow" around the stream. Is this meant to be a valley or is it just artistic?

I ruled that as artistic at ASLOK, but I will review it with Chas and Bruce and make sure.

It came up in my game of "HG-13: An Unfriendly Welcome" with Phil Palmer.

That is going to be a great scenario, IMO. The American force on board gets squeezed from two sides until a big (8 squad, 5 tank, 4 half-track) reinforcement group comes to the rescue.
