Canada Day (1 July) will mark the first anniversary of the BattleSchool blog Sitrep.

Each month for the past year we have held raffles for various kinds of ASL candy.

On 1 July, a Squad Leader (i.e. follower of Sitrep) will win a copy of Festung Budapest, the latest historical module from MMP.

Do not delay. Join today!

Good luck in the contest.

Congrats Chris (and the willowy Helen).

Yours is a high quality blog, and you have my (value-less) commendation. Keep it up.

Thanks gents.

Working on a special two-part series. Trying desperately to get it out this weekend. Have to work Sunday. :(

Will do my best.

If you have not joined Sitrep yet, it might be worth considering. More cool prizes to come in August.

And who knows, we may offer an occasional price-break on our BattleDice for Squad Leaders following under their first and last names. :)

Yeah mate nice work on your anniversary.

I'm gonna be completely honest and say your website was pretty interesting right from the moment I stumbled on it. Trying to find a regular opponent here in Wellington was proving to be a bit of a job, but after a little bit of correspondence you hooked me up with a local contact.

For that I'm very grateful man. In just a couple of months I've gone from messing round with infantry wondering if I was going to get more into the game or not, to smashing round the battlefield in tanks, and into it!

Here's to you brother, take it easy.

Dale.

Just a little thought on Helen's favourite dice

Twilight Struggle seems to be going from strength to strength

thought about making dice applicable to both?

A nice soviet and us flagged dice will go well with both games............

I must admit that while I am aware of the game, I know very little about it.

As far as wargame eras go, would you say that Twilight Struggle is more or less popular than the American Civil War or the Age of Napoleon?

What sort of combat results table does it use? Is it similar to the Gamers CRT?

I see it is partly card driven. Do the cards work as a command and control element, or are they primarily special events/triggers?

The cards determin the events and also the number of points u can use to coup wher you add the ops points to a dice roll when trying tO take over enemy countrys
