More 35+ HR/100 RBI seasons in MLB history...just passed some guy named Ruth...
How many come when the team is way ahead or way behind? ;)

I'll admit the guy is good... until you need him to produce in a pressure situation and then he folds like a cheap card table.

Rays win again and Red Sox lose. The gap is widening! :hurray:

White Sox holding off the Twins.

Leadership and poise are not quantifiable.
True.

Just looking at the Miami game you can tell how much NE misses Brady. Their defense looks old and slow, because he's not out there controlling the clock, the game and putting up 30 points a game.

A team source confirmed to the Boston Globe the Red Sox will retire Johnny Pesky's number (6) this weekend, during the final series of the year with the New York Yankees. The official announcement could come as early as today.
Wicked great news.

Having the foul pole named after him wasn't enough? Sheesh. Pesky would be the first BoSox player to have his number retired that wasn't a HOFer.

I find it odd that they'd do it on such short notice frankly...

Well he used to hang out in the dugout with the team until a$$hat Pud Selig kicked him out. Probably a nod. Hell, he's part of the lore... I'm cool with it.

I told you I gave up on the Yanks making the playoffs around the All Star break. I doubt ARod ever gets a ring even if he goes elsewhere.

Just want to get the Sox as down as possible. Wild Card is theirs but gotta make sure. :D

It doesn't bother me cuz I'm not a Yankee fan and I would rather ARod never got a ring. I just like a bunch of their players.

Mussina won #19 tonite. One more chance for #20. :hurray:

There's always hope for a late inning relief win, so it doesn't necessarily fall to his last start; too, would he go for his 20th that way?

True but can the old man pitch on short notice. He does have all off season to rest up.

Red Sox win again (barely) but so do the Rays. :hurray:

Twins beat White Sox again to move closer to Central lead.

Twins lost but so did White Sox.

TB loss wins homefield for the Angels.

Moose gets the early game. He goes up against DiceK. Yankees should get plenty of walks but will they make him pay for it. ;)
