I am just having a look at J167 "Hart Attack" which features some US M3 Medium Tanks in North Africa.

The TK tables have a special mention of "Grant Guns" - these have a TK of 13 while the normal US 75 Gun has a TK of 14.

Now the designations "Grant" and "Lee" were designations by the British for US Lend Lease tanks.
Thus I *think* - as the US tanks are "M3 MT", the intended TK is 14.

I delved into it and found several threads on the issue:

http://www.gamesquad.com/forums/index.php?threads/lee-m3-a-75-gun-tk.107744/
http://www.gamesquad.com/forums/index.php?threads/lee-m3-tk.94183/

While the first one seems more conclusive (Mr. Weir postulating a TK of 14), in the latter one Fort himself poses the question on how to handle the TK# for the US M3 MT.

So: What is it supposed to be? TK13 or TK14?

Thanks in advance,

I forwarded this to Fort. He is quite busy with real life. He usually gets back soon'ish. -- jim

I might add another question:

Non-inherent terrain usually rises from the upper level (i.e. center dot) of a hex. But in Journal 10 (page 32, Notes on B10.1 errata), MMP suggests to have it rise from the respective level of its depiction on the newer maps where the crestlines are especially printed, which is the case for board 7a/b.

Looking at hex 7aF2 for example, is this supposed to be played with all Brush and Woods rising from level 1 or both from ground level and level 1 for the purposes of this scenario?

That would be up to you and your opponent, whether you want to play using the footnote. Stricktly, rules-wise the scenario is supposed to be played per B10.1.

That is my understanding.

However, with MMP's obiter dictum out there, I am interested in how this was designed to play as it can make quite some differences to LOS and thus possibly the placement of the German AT Gun.

Cheers,
