I have a copy of the Users manual that the allies published for the 88 AA mount.
All the instrumentation on the sides of those things is fascinating.

Yeah, and assuming it is an accurate representation of that particular 88 ..................... I am betting the yellow rings are multiples and the white are singles!

Have seen a restored 88 on New year's Eve in Holland shooting dummies.
It's an old tradition called "Carbitschieten".
Just saw it while passing by by car. We had to stop at the traffic lights when we were hit by that blast...

In general, the coloring didn't matter. The size of the ring was the determining factor. A wide ring was 10 kills, a narrow ring was 1 kill.

In 2005, I got a picture of an 88 at the WWII museum in Auburn, IN.
Unfortunately, the collection of guns and vehicles was sold off.

The guys in the picture are captivated by that 88. The poor wife, having obviously been dragged into the museum, seems not impressed...

There was one in my neighborhood until a couple of years ago. It was removed because some people said it was a “fascist” monument. It was placed in the middle of a roundabout, in the north of Madrid (Spain)
