An SR dissallows Banzai. Are IJA TH Heros allowed?
Might wanna get a second opinion (cuz mine ain't worth much) but since a THH conducts a Banzai Charge when he makes his attack per the Chapter G rules, I would say no THH's in this scen either. Probably moved the balance scale too far in the Japanese favor if they could simply take out the Chinese AFV's with THH's and not risk their own armor, even though those FT 17's ain't exactly the most fearsome tanks around. In BFP 27, the same SSR banning Japanese Banzai is in effect. However, this time the Chinese OB has reinforcement AFVs.

You can have THH without AFV easily. HIP them before the game where allowed.No. G1.421 specifies that in order to create or use a TH Hero, the Good Order Japanese squad/hs must be within eight hexes during their MPh, or Adjacent during the enemy MPh, of an enemy AFV. Since the Chinese have no AFV's in this scenario, no THH's. And since the Japanese have no DC's in their OB, they cannot create a DC Hero either. At least, that is how I would play it.
True. But since the two scenarios in question take place in 1932, and the ability to set up THH HIP is limited to scenarios taking place in 1944 - 1945, I didn't really think that option was applicable to this. Still, a good point for other situations. You can have THH without AFV easily. HIP them before the game where allowed.
