Situation I had last night. 468 squad with 8-1 and 6+1 leader entered into CC with an immobilised T34. Melee rolls for both sides were ineffective. Russian turn and the T34 fires MG’s in hex at TPBF and breaks all German units. Therefore in melee phase Germans have to withdraw. In Russian advance phase a 447 squad enters into the melee. I’m aware CC is sequential. The question I have is Does the German units get to withdraw before the 447 squad can attack? I know the T34 would roll
Last. We played it that German units withdraw before the 447 rolls which would have been 1-2 with a -4 mod.

That makes sense looking at the ASOP. You declare Withdrawal in 8.15B. As you loop through 8.21B-8.24B, in 8.21B when you declare the first sequential CC attack, the German player can't declare an attack, so the Russian player declares the first sequential CC attack (447 or T-34 CMG). Anything withdrawing that survives that first attack withdraws in 8.24B.

I don't know how you get that. I get two attacks, one a 6 CCV with a -2 DRM and the second 2 CCV with a-1 DRM (other options are possible, but this is generally the best). Per the middle of A11.5 "No more than 2 units may combine into a single CC attack ..." (vs a vehicle).

468 could have been assault engineers?

No they weren’t assault engineers. He basically attacked as one group with squad and 2 leaders to get CCV of 7 (which is incorrect as only 2 units can attack).
Hah, told you I was rusty 😄
