It's hard to believe WCM XXVI is less than two months away. As I mentioned in an earlier post, getting the pre-reg pack out has been a real struggle this year for a variety of reasons:

We had planned to offer a tee-shirt this year; an exact replacement of our very popular black model with the blue logo. We even had the original manufacturer lined up, and were waiting for a price. He kept us waiting through the holidays, and then he ghosted us! We felt we couldn't hold up the pre-reg pack any longer, and just abandoned the tee shirt plan.

So at this point, you're welcome to download the pre-reg pack and get your WCM registration in. But you're going to have to hold off booking your hotel room for a bit longer. We'll let you know as soon as they're up and running.

One last note: I've decided that this year I'm going to allow attendees to register in advance for some of the Thursday and Friday mini-tournaments. I'm still not going to release the scenario choices until the day of the event. But I'll give you a description of the theme for each. I'm going to do that for two of the three to four mini's we'll be running each day. So even if you don't sign up in advance, you're still going to get into something each day. I will send out an email about 2 weeks before the event, and sign-ups will be on a first-come basis. So keep an eye out for that.

In the meantime, be sure to get your WCM registrations in. We have another great event planned, and you don't want to miss it!

Greetings All,

Well, we have an update on the hotel. We are cleared to begin booking our WCM hotel rooms at Best Western Plus, Heritage Inn.

The pricing is the same as last year: $129 per night plus tax, including up to 2 breakfasts per room per day. The hotel information is on the flyer. Just call the reservation line at 909-466-1111. Our group name is West Coast Melee. You'll have your choice between double queen size or one king size. Cut-off is February 14th.

As always, please remember to get your hotel reservation in early. We've tried to make sure our room block will have enough rooms, but once they're gone, they're gone.

Please drop me a line if you run into any problems making your reservation.

So if you haven't already done so, get those reservations in ASAP. We have a great program planned, and you don't want to miss out!

Also, for those who would like to sign up for a Friday and/or Saturday mini-tournaments, I am going to offer two mini's for each day. I won't post the scenario lists, just the mini-tournament title and general subject matter. Look for a post on this e-group on Thursday. If you'd rather wait until the day of the event to sign up for something, that's fine also, as we will have additional mini's available for both days, depending on demand.

In the meantime, be sure to get your hotel reservations in.
