Red Barricades Armor Leaders

Just started a game of red Barricades and actually rolled a 10-2 armor Leader for my Stugs. Assuming they don’t leave at the end of the day, am I allowed to switch him into a better tank? Not Talking about abandoning on in play to climb into another, but during the refit phase. If he does switch rides, and the Stugs get withdrawn, does he leave with them? If his new ride gets withdrawn, does he leave with that instead?

O11.6207 ARMOR LEADERS: ...Each armor leader received for an AFV platoon must begin each scenario in an AFV of that platoon if possible (and Withdraw with that platoon if it is Withdrawn; 11.6142).

Looks like that 10-2 is stug in that particular platoon...
