But then you open up the can of worms on how to scroe the various games, as most are not alike - a nightmare for WARS. Additionally, most of the stuff that comes out is one title, or maybe two and the company stops. In some cases the games don't even run without huge patches. Stability and reliablity are big questions.

Between the Battleground and HPS titles there are 7 Napoleonic games out, and more are coming. Additionally if we include the EAW series that add's another 3 titles in. If more titles were to be covered I think they should conform to a similar format for the reasons mentioned above.

Another hurdle is, if you cover everything Napoleonic then who ever the section leader is will have to get copies of all those games so they know what they are about. A financial buden on whoever that may be.

Regardless though, if a Napoleonic section is started that supports the HPS titles in any way, you will have my support on it. That can be as a formal "Moderator" or just an active member - what ever you need. If it doesn't support those games then I won't be able to participate.

Regards,
Rich

I'm of the opinion that not every game that we support needs to be on the ladder unless a following merits it.

So I wouldn't bunch everything onto one ladder, but make a tiller napoleonics/eaw ladder to start and then add ladders if needed with other games.

I'd think that if 2-3 people moderate and work on the napoleonics forum that the financial burden of the games could be split between them... who knows though.

Good point...I guess we'll see what the powers that be say to all of it. I think Don & Brian are at a E3 now, so it will probably be next week before we hear anything.

I hear ya...

My goal is just to increase exposure in a convenient 'one stop shop' for napoleonics type titles. Whether they are land or sea I don't much care.

The more info, discussion, etc that we can provide the better for those of us who are napoleonic fans :D

Btw... really enjoying waterloo (and I'm only playing the ai which usually bores me to tears but not so far), nice job!

Thank you Sir, glad you enjoy it. Creation of that map nearly killed me!

We've got an expansion package coming together as well for it that will release around the time of the first patch. A ton of stuff included in it that will really enhance the title. Company level actions of the major aspects of the campiagn as well as a much larger OOB adding in additional forces for all three armies.

I am hoping the powers that be see fit to create discussion areas - without feeling compelled to always set up the works ... I mean after all it is all about bandwidth -and attracting viewers - the more the merrier, right?

Well who knows -- maybe I never see the 'big' picture through the correct light. :smoke:
