Started in late 2005 when EVE had fewer than 50,000 players, the magazine has grown with the popularity of the game, reaching a subscriber base of around four to five thousand -- more than one in every hundred EVE players. Those players drive the vast bulk of the in-game content, unlike other MMOs, whose content is created by the developers. Simularly, EON's content isn't created by professional journalists -- it's written by the players.
