Situation: German MPh. This stack of German MMC cross the hedge into L6 using Non-AM. The Russian 426 is a conscript, and the Russians suffer from Ammo Shortage. Assuming that RS only ever selects one unit, is it possible for the Russian unit to kill all German units during this two MF expenditure? If so, what DR's would it take?

[Too simple? It's the first time I ever tried to make one of these up]

1st shot 6fp -2 roll a 1,2 (colored 1) lmg retains rof, you get a 2 kia
2nd shot SFF 4fp also roll a 1,2 or 2,1 get a 1kia.. all units dead

They key to this is that ammo shortage is in effect. The lmg is NOT is good order and therefore manatory firegrouping is NOT in effect.

Fire the squad at 2FP (long range) -2 roll a 3. I think thats a K/2 (NRBH). A squad takes the CR and then everyone breaks. Then the LMG fires at 2-2 rolls a 3 maintaining ROF. The broken squad takes the CR and the 2MC eliminates all 3 broken HSs. All this would happen on the 1st MF. The LMG could take a 2-2 on the second MF and the squad could also take a 1-2.

Alternatively they could form a FG and take the 4-2 roll a 3 (maintain rof) and then a 2-2.

This is the answer I was going for, although what you did with the answer I had not thought of (hadn't even occured to me to disallow multiple breaks!).

Damn, this inventing puzzles is hard.
