How do you pronounse KWASL? Does the KW sound like heavily accenting the first syllable in 'croissant' so it sounds like 'qusal'??

The K is silent and the W is pronounced as in German.

You are correct it is pronounced "qusal". No wonder so many people find this game difficult to learn...we speak a different language.
