Pre-Game Bombardment of Board 53 was pretty effective pound to rubble many buildings.
Main German force supported by 3x Pz IVJs and 2x StuG IIIGs enters from southeast edge and make for the 57I2 crossroads. The Americans waiting until the Germans close before letting loose with AT-Gun, machinegun, and mortar fire managing knock 1x Pz IVJ before malfing the AT-Gun and eliminating 2x HS.
The Germans close up with the Americans, breaking both the mortar crew and the AT-Gun crew and smoking out the machinegun team. But the Germans suffering under the American defensive fire, either breaking several units or Pinning. The American Forward Observer finally reached Divisional Artillery HQ and called in a Fire Mission on the crossroad, with a minor deviation, it lands on a German platoon to the southeast.
Meanwhile the SS finally decided to show up and a platoon supported by a pair of Panther tanks enter along south edge of Board 53, but two-thirds are pinned down by mortar and machine-gun fire.
American reinforcements in the form of 2x M10 GMC are about to arrive from the west and deal with the Panthers.
