A lot of posts in the Small Scenarios and bad dice thread mention how otherwise innocent and inanimate objects, dice, have met an untimely end. Wbitd I heard of some NYC boys playing and the one grabbing the others dice and flushing them down the toilet. A wrestling match ensued.

Personally I have never witnessed such dice destructive behavior as Fish took his frustrations about me jicking him on dice towers and boards. Weirdly board 5 in two instances. Dice were off limits!

Regardless I am quite interested in hearing about the abuse and untimely end of our cubic comrades. Thanks!

My friend Martin Mayers was so frustrated with his Schwerpunkt dice that he threw them across my lounge at the wall. Of course, when they landed, they came up ‘snakes’ . 🤣

I was playing a scenario with Chris Spell and got frustrated with my dice. I simply tossed them over my shoulder to the floor behind me. Everyone started laughing and I knew before asking they were double ones. Only time I have every done anything like that. -- jim

EDIT to add: I have burned one scenario card though. Which one is not for public consumption. I hated that scenario. I don't care how highly regarded it is otherwise. I burned it with the designer watching. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

The attitude of bad dice can be easily adjusted by sending them to Siberia (the freezer) for a couple of weeks.
After a couple of weeks in the freezer, you will be amazed at how much better they roll.
Be careful not to allow any dice lovers know that you have dice in the freezer or they will report you to the ASPCD (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Dice).

Sam Belcher (miss you, Sam!) used to give 'frosted dice' to those players at Enfilade who had a lot of "Snakes".
He also gave out hot pink dice to players who had too many "Boxcars".

I've known a player or two who threw dice at Enfilade [in frustration]. That's why I use a 4" D-ring binder for my
ASL Rulebook = immediate protection from rebounding dice!

After my 3rd ASL tournament, SoCal Melee 2000, my dice had been so weirdly bad, that when I returned home, I took them out in the garage and crushed them all with a framing hammer.
I ordered a bunch of precision backgammon dice, and haven’t looked back.
