I can't wait! (not that I'll be any good at it mind...)

We've had a talk about this game previously - just in case you haven't already seen the thread, it might give you a bit more info'?

I've been following this game since it's first news of development back in 03. Hadn't seen the thread on this all ready though.

That thread was started by my friend. He has also been following it as well.

We were appointed honorary "Wonder Muffins"

Since we know so much about WWII and the military in general, and since we seem to prove our teacher wrong quite often (along with fighting everything he says degrading WWII), he decided earlier in the year that we would be called

WONDER MUFFINS

I am Wonder Muffin 1

and British Apostle is Wonder Muffin 2.

(There is no rank in these numbers, they were just assigned randomly).

I've read that they've really tweaked the AI. Generals with experience will not take the bait on some feints (like they always did in Medieval: Total War) This game truly has the potential to be the quintessential ancient strategy game. It's truly time to build a new pc.

wow! looks nice!

btw...has anyone in the UK seen the show "Time Commanders" which features humans against the AI in historic battles using the Rome:Total War engine? I just read that they are trying to bring it over here to the U.S. (don't know if it will be copies or an American adaption).

I've been with Total since the original. I've done several online newsletters that have featured Rome. I hope it's as good as everyone (including me) expect and have hyped it to be.

Hmm . . . must be a generational thing or something. All the pics do for me is make me shake my head and think, "Oh, no, not another interactive war movie!"

To each his own. I prefer less visual realism in my wargaming. I want to be free to imagine what things might look like in real life (and to not imagine the gory details).

TC was discussed in the earlier thread. I hop you get to see it - it's fab'. Alternatively, if you guys make your own series, I hope WE get to see it!
