Can you play online against others?

Does the game take place at various times (ie,1960,1980,2004)

How many countries troops are involved in the game?

The game has PBEM (which I assume works; I havn't tried it yet) only. It isn't really suited to internet play, anyway.

All the "box" scenarios are contemporary/near future.. hypotheticals set in 2007. Custom scenarios can be set whenever the designer wishes within the confines of the database, basically 1960's to date. It is designed as a "present day" game though, I've no doubt Vietnam or Cold War scenarios etc will turn up in due course, but these will entail a lot of work on the part of their designers.

At present, USA, British, CIS (Russia), Iraq, Iran, Syria, "Civilian", Al Qaeda. Fairly predictable, although I think Israel is an odd omission. It seems easy enough to add new ones, as long as they use equipment in the existing database.
