Well they will be well protected. I am curious of the reasons for the lack of these types of systems in actual use vs. prototype. There is a Russian system one in use. The advantages to me IMHO are great. You can combine weapon platforms. An under armor indirect fire weapon that is turrented and can function as a direct support weapon like the Stryker AGS is intended to do.
