Hey Guys,
Looking for reviews of this product (SSIII by Heat of Battle). Anyone play any/some of these scenarios and willing to give word?

Thx,
Scott

Even though no one ever replied to this :| , I bought it anyway.

And I must say it looks really cool. Can't wait to play a few of these. Presentation, design and material quality is top notch and the scenarios look solid. Everything from a half-board 6 turner to a 4 board combined arms, takes-a-day-to-play slugfest. Plus, the scenarios range from 9/39 in Poland to 4/45 in Vienna, so it's got it all.

Highlights have got to be Jackboot Woods and The Bitter End. Jackboot Woods is a monster that sees Das Reich face 6 (yes, 6!!!) Soviet human wave attacks. The bad guys (in this case, the SS, not the Commies), get OBA, a Flak38 (the 20fp one) and air support amongst other toys.

The Bitter End features the Sovs once again squaring off against Das Reich. This time the SS get some infantry 2 88LLs, 15 AFVs (Panthers, JagdPathers, etc.) and a 9-2 AL! However, they are gonna need it since the Rooskies are bringing scads of riflemen and 36 AFVs. Including 3 IS-3s. :!:

Anyhow, great looking scenario pack, now it's time to play a few of these bad boys.

I can recommend...

I can recommend the scenario BITTER END.

Took 3 3 hour playings, with my FTF opponent Mike Owens.

He was the Soviet, with myself being the SS.

Had an awesome AT ambush on board 40, placing both the 88LL ATGs on opposite ends of the map, covering the bridge. EVERYONE (both the fleeing Germans and pursuing Russians) are going to try to cross that bridge.

In the end, I crossed with 3 tanks (2 with MAs that were MALFed) and he couldn't cross, b/c there were so many burning wrecks either on the bridge, or on the road hexes up to it.

great tank scenario....
