Once again, six players congregated to plough the ocean wave - and we also did a bit of technological testing. To improve multiplayer capabilities, the virtual network software Hamachi was employed to create an enhanced playing environment. The results were very pleasing, as all players connected up perfectly and we experienced no lag whatsoever. Even pausing was no problem at all.

The scenario played was En passant, with Jimmudon, rgreat and myself as the Germans. Overall command was held by myself with the BB, Jim had the BC with their escorts, and rgreat had the TB and BL escorts, including four old CL and Rostock. The BC rushed up ahead, while the en BL came at us from the W, and rgreat shielded our own heavies as they formed a battle line. Stuttgart took a hit in a small scuffle, but was able to sail on.

Once a clean line was formed, all German BB went on a NW course to take the enemy head-on, which was quite successful: we took a few hits as well, but apart from smashed searchlights and ruined torpedo mounts, not much damage was inflicted. The British BL had turned away to avoid us, and because our BC probed the line up further North, so only the end of the British line took heavy fire from all German BB. The British BC took a few hits, as did most of the BB in the rear, but Vanguard looked pretty bad and would possibly not have seen England again.

Sadly, we were forced to stop there, because rgreat was getting really tired and Jim could not go any further as well. It was great fun all the same, and I think Hamachi can be recommended for multiplayer purposes.

Well done, gentlemen!
