Is "+2 vehicle" ambush roll drm applied if you´re in a hex with an controlled abandoned vehicle? Or is applied only with crewed ones?

Thanks in advance. Miguel.

This seems odd, but I think the ambush mods mighgt still apply. This is not a concrete answer but in A11.31 an abandoned vehicle still causes the CC to be sequential. So I don't see any reason that it would not still also cause the ambush mods to apply. shrug

A11.31 clearly states that the CC is sequential.

However, A11.4 states the for the various drm to apply "if ... a player's CC force is qualified to use it". I am not sure an abandoned vehicle remains parts of a player's CC "force". D5.4 is not clear on this but I would think that a vehicle would not be considered part of either player's force if abandoned, and therefore I do not think the +2 drm should not apply to the ambush dr.

A21.2:

If there are no enemy Personnel in the Location with an Abandoned enemy AFV, it may be captured automaticallyby any Infantry unit in the same location at the end of a CCPh but Ambush is NA.
If the location contains enemy personnel, then ambush does apply. However, the balance of 21.2 states that the presence of enemy personnel in the location counts as as escort for both sides. This implies that the ambush drm does not apply to either or it applies to both sides.

Bottom line, I don't think you can have an abandoned AFV that is controlled. By definition, it is up for grabs. Interesting question and the rules are not clear ...

Note that in sequential CC, the attacker would have the option of capturing the abandoned AFV as his first action...
