A dugin tank in bamboo has both a CMG and a gun.

A. It changes the TCA one hexspine to shoot the gun. VCA change DRM is doubled in bamboo.

B. The TCA the changes another hexspine to shoot the CMG, VCA doubled again.

C. Can the gun now shoot from the new hexspine or was the CA fixed in A. above.

I thought that both B. and C. above are not allowed because of C5.11 (below), what do you think?

Thanks,
Rich

5.11 All Guns use Case A to fire at targets outside their current CA when changing their CA for a shot in that phase. Turreted vehicles change only their TCA so that their target lies within that TCA. Should they elect to pivot their vehicular counter instead so as to change their VCA, the NT To Hit DRM apply to the first shot of all vehicular weapons (see also D3.51). A NT Gun must pivot within the firing hex so that the target lies within its vehicular/Gun CA (ROF, C2.5). Such a pivot does not qualify the vehicle/Gun as a moving targte. Regardless of Gun Type, the Case A DRM is doubled if the firer is in woods/building/rubble; in addition, a change of VCA in woods/building/rubble requires passage of a Bog Check (D8.2) first. Furthermore, once a Gun (other than a mortar) fires from woods/building/rubble it may continue to fire during that phase from that hex only inside its current CA [EXC to all: Bounding First Firers and vehicles on the road in a woods-road hex]. If it retains a Multiple ROF, place a CA counter on the Gun (or alternately, to prevent congestion due to stacking, two hexes away from the Gun pointing to the same hexspine) to indicate its curren TCA for the remainder of that phase. The CA of a pinned firer fixed in the MPh would remain fixed during the DFPh.

In as much as Bamboo is treated as Dense Jungle (G3.1) and Dense Jungle is considered woods (G.1), the TCA is fixed upon the 1st shot (your Case A) per C5.11 as noted. However, there may be some disagreement as to whether a Dug-in Tank may be placed in Bamboo at all as it is considered an Armored Cupola (D9.54) and only Pillboxes/Mines and Panjis (G3.5), Guns (G3.4), infantry (G2) and Fully Tracked AFV (PTO Terrain Chart) may enter/exist in a Bamboo Hex. It would be up to the interpretation of COWTRA if an Armored Cupola exists a form of a fortification or even if it is considered a Fully Tracked AFV (NOTE: I would probably give you a pass on this one as it was originally a Fully tracked AFV, but would certainly have some reservations in the back of my mind).
