Private messages are essentially the same thing as emails between users. In other words, they are private exchanges between users and the mods are usually not involved. If you have some special situation where you feel you need mod intervention in a private message exchange, I would contact one of the mods directly via PM.

When viewing a post, there is a 'Report Bad Post' button under the user's avatar. Click on that and it will send a report to the mods.
