Why not more scenario on this battle? Maybe I need to NOT retire from scenario designing!

Just gotta ask, is this place interesting because of 2 dozen blowouts or some interesting action?

Here’s one potentially…. Next up on my list of Netflix movies to watch is a Dutch production “De Slag om de Schelde”. English title “The Forgotten Battle”. Battle of the Scheldt. Not too many scenarios cover this IIRC.

I realize it’s not Normandy but it’s a bit different from the usual fare.
It's a good film.

Man in ASL terms, there would be a lot of lost SW's when you ditch them and rout. glug glug And no low crawling unless you pass a snorkel TC. Then the rest of the game would be MUD MUD MUD.

Try these also, especially the Heimdal book. For a long time Tilly was the site of the Normandy book fair, held during the anniversary week each year. I met Ian Daglish there a long time ago.
Ken Tout - The Bloody battle for Tilly
Stephane Jacquet - Tilly-sur-Seulles 1944
I have the Tout book -- haven't dived super deep into yet, though.

IIRC, Rivers to the Reich has some large scenarios covering the battles of the Scheldt.

Rivers to the Reich updated the 'Rogue' scenarios covering the opening of the approaches to Antwerp.
And yes, they are very large.

Consider using the many boards we already have for any scenarios that come out of this. If it were to be a full HASL, that is different, but may take a number of years to develop. CGs add significantly to the playtesting load.

This set of scenarios, particularly U36-U38, look very interesting but don’t seem to have many playings recorded (either in the ASL Scenario Archive or ROAR). A shame, because it obviously took a lot or work to design and to update to ASL. I wonder if it had been released more in the format of Singling - a sort of mini CG with an historical map - if it would’ve gotten more interest. A 34-turn scenario is a large bite to take.

The weight of those scenarios explains why they are not played a lot.

Wasn't there a Scheldt scenario in the Rogue Scenarios? A biggy iirc.

Lol missed the upthread reference.
