PPS: Watch for the next announcement:bite:
heh woody,Not a big deal if no cock up had happened with the original announcement. All I saw was the announcement subject line and went straight to the site, considering I am never really sure what to believe in SES emails. And the site had nothing about a later release, it had a price listed, and it had a button to buy it now. So what should I think?
This isn't rocket science. A simple excel spreadsheet with a checklist to make sure you get everything squared away before launch and release.
I'm just saying I am not sure I have ever seen a company have so many small screw ups and poor PR combined, regardless of size.
Its a good thing the product is good.
Oh man! Whoo-hoo! Fantastic news! Awesome! Brilliant! Thank you SES!Dogger Bank will contain the following new classes (with most members represented):
RN Predreads: Duncan, London, Formidable, Canopus, Majestic, and modified original Royal Sovereign.
RN ACs: Drake
Other Old RN Cruisers: Sentinel, Pathfinder, Forward, Adventure, "Gem", Pelorus, Eclipse, Astraea, Apollo, and ML-conversion Apollo.
German ACs: Blucher, Roon, Prinz Adalbert, Prinz Heinrich
German CL: Kolberg
There are a few others, such as the ML Princess Margaret and similar minor units.
In addition, there are early-war versions of most ships from the basic 1916 game. These earlier versions typically have some or all of the following differences from their mid-war incarnatoins: lack of director control, wimpier torpedoes, shorter firing ranges, slightly different guns, etc.
Besides all this, I worked in a few other freebies. For instance, Bayern now goes faster as argued on this forum and her sister is available in the ship editor by popular demand. There are a few such things that I leave you all to find.
The campaign is rather different from the original, in that both sides are refitting their ships throughout the year to bring them up to their 1916 condition. Thus, the fleets are much less homogenous and this continually changes. On top of that, there's the 1st unrestricted U-boat campaign.
We didn't include then because they served almost exclusively in the Baltic. Also, from what I can tell, they were never brought up to full wartime status. They were in reserve prior to the war and didn't get a full crew on mobilization.Curious that you didn't add more KM Pre-Dreads, was there not another battle squadron of them (Wittlesbachs?) still with the HSF in early 1915?
I'd like to disable transport chases too.I'd buy this if it lets us disable merchant hunting from the campaign. Life really is too short.
AI capital ships tend to fight at longer ranges with more guns bearing than before, and the light forces tend to act less like water beetles and more like screening units. It's still an AI and still ain't perfect, but it's better than it was.Interested to see AI improvements.
Can someone from SES describe them?
