I have just started another Job in February and with Jay, we had problems to find time to play our game. We still need 1-2 hours to finish. We should finished before the end of next week, is it still ok for the tournament ?. Sorry for the delay ! Lionel
We just finished our game with Jay (FT171 Getting your bell rung) .
The game was balanced until turn 4 with moderate losses on both sides. But my germans found several panzerfaust and managed to burn 2 shermans that were trying to outflank them and the turn afte the British 9-2 rolled a 12 on a MC. It was a German win in a good and hard fought game. Thanks Jay.

Afternoon,
Craig and I will play AP 12 "Cream Of The Crop." My Russians will attempt to defend against Craigs' Germans.
Cheers!
Pierce

Jay and I played J157 "Rage Against The Machine" as our 2nd round game.
The dice gave me the defending Germans, and they held on to 2 of the 3 VC objectives, winning the game for me.
The game went up and down; in turn 2 my 75L gun malfed on the first shot - aiming at a stationary ISU 122's rear end :) and Jays 9-1 Battle Hardened to a 9-2 on a 2+0 IFt shot - but in the next two turn's my conscripts behaved like supermen, killing 3 russian squads in CC creating two 8-1 leaders and eliminated 1 more for FtR. I had a 467 in a Stone Builing (42D5) who held out until German turn 4, delaying Jays main attack into the 3a village.
The bridge was firmly in Jays hands in turn 5, and I held the Crossroads - so the endgame evolved around the Headquater Building; 3a M8. Jay threw everything against my defenders, overrunning, freezing, placing DC's and Bounding Fired his remaining tanks.... but an 8-1 Leader on First Level remained untouched, and we stopped the game before resolving the CC's at each Ground Level locations.
A fun and exciting game, with a well played attack by Jay - ASL when it is best :)

Rich Domovic's North Koreans defeated Brian Wiersma's South Koreans in J218 - A Promotion Fight.

My sniper took out one of his 8-1 leaders on an early turn one shot to set the tone.

It unfolded as a strange game. My North Koreans shot as if cross-eyed, his South Koreans could not pass a MC.

Luckily for me, the HTH CCs went very well, causing VC casualties to mount into the mid teens, which made me the winner.

With Rich we will finish our game Wednesday at the latest. Is it possible to extend the deadline by 2-3 days (always hard to arrange game during the summer especially with a 7 hours time difference between us). Lionel

Just go ahead! It will probably be the end of the week or start of next week until I'll close round 3 and prepare round 4.

We just finished our game. With Rich, we played J70 Just an illusion. My French prevailed after a hard fought game against Rich's Thais.
It is always a pleasure to play with Rich, thanks for the game. Lionel

That's the email address in my system. Did you receive an email for round 3? If I just send you an email again, results will probably not vary.

Some email providers consider me a spammer because I send a lot of email over a very short time, and they all contain "suspicious looking" links - check your spam folder and ask your email provider to whitelist me.

I checked my spam folder. I had just deleted a bunch of spam before I saw that you had sent out the round 4 info. I may have inadvertently deleted your email. Please send again.

When does round 4 end?

After this round's game is completed I wish to withdraw from the league as I find the lack of responsiveness unacceptable. It should not take multiple emails and weeks of waiting to get a single game completed, much less to even get started.

Round 4 ends 27 October.
The VASLeague is a slow paced league, you have 8+ weeks to complete one game, and many players need that time. Busy schedules and different time zones make it difficult to arrange games. So multiple weeks to complete a game is to be expected.
But I also expect players to respond to their opponents in a relatively timely manner. Not getting a response is frustrating. Even a quick email with "I'm busy right now, I'll respond next week" helps.

Send me an email and I'll remove you from next year's league.
