There is a very good chance that one of the eight or nine Americans attending this year might win the event.
Way to get the Canadian attendance up Mike. Shrewd.....shrewd.:devious:

It's a distinct possibility.

But who said anything about winning?

I plan to attend so I can get a game in with Philippe B on Thursday (during open play).

He'll be over his jetlag by then, and maybe he can give me with a few pointers for my Round 1 game. Odds are I'll be matched with someone on the Yankee baseball team.

They'll be at a disadvantage if they aren't used to Canadian beer.

I'll be looking for a game Thursday afternoon during open play. If anyone is up for some playtesting let me know. It will be my only chance to play a large monster--which I always prefer.

Room booked, see ya in May.
SWMBO booked our room last week.

Trust Michael told you that the CASLO is a BYOB?

Looking forward to a chance to play you face-to-face for a change. I could be your Round 1 speed bump.

Just remember to bring your own bowl. (Sorry, couldn't resist)

Wouldn't dream of leaving home without it. Fortunately the white, powdery substance wore off years ago, or I might not make it past the border. Hmmm, sugar bowl huh?

Chris Doary is providing nice dice prizes for the top and bottom finishers. The Sportsmanship award at CASLO goes to the person who has the least number of wins in the most rounds played. It just occurred to me that I might one day need a tie breaker for that award :hush: ; so far, there has always been only one qualifier.

No need for a "tie breaker" on that account. We have you covered for that eventuality. In any case, Helen will be distributing some freebies to newbies at the tourney.

For registered players, the scenario scans and scenario guides are now available. So if you have not yet registered, you now have more incentive. I will be pairing registered players for the early start round during the last week of March, so that they can do scenario and side choice in March way before the tournament.

Mailing my registration in because I'm old school, and planning to show up with dice, a dice cup, and a QRDC. I travel light...

In the attached file, there is a nicer (than the earlier bare-bones) presentation of the scenario list that also shows the boards and overlays required.

Mike, How far is the airport from the hotel? I may have to leave before noon as my flight home was pushed up from 6:30pm to 3:30pm. No biggee for me as I doubt I'll be a finalist...
Also, I am looking to play a large scenario Thursday afternoon--evening. Any takers? No scenario too big--just ask the guy I played Bloody Red Beach with at ASLOK 2015. :D
