In the Scott Romanowski file v31 this is indicated to be from Klas’ QA v33 but the source is originally from the ASL mailing list 20-ish years ago. I was never on this and dont know how it worked.

However, I didnt remember this QA about HIPs and PAATC so I relearned this HIP situation, thanks. Actually, as I see it, the QA is following the rules strict, and to what I understand is why HIP is retained.

It was just a mailing list; you'd sign up and when someone sent email to the mailing list's address, the list server would forward it to everyone who had signed up. You could select individual emails, or batches a few times a day. At the time there were a lot fewer ASLers sending email, so it was manageable. A lot of the "personal correspondence" Q&A in my compilation, e.g. "Jonathan Cole to Perry Cocke, ASLML 2 Apr 2003", are from it.

Thanks, I have just downloaded your latest versjon. This is the first time I have looked at your work. Very nice work, also good to se the old official QA, had forgotten these existed, even if I have the annuals from back then.
