Snake-Eyes II: Lingèvres Mini-CG VASL tournament

Entries are now open for a linked 3 scenario mini campaign tournament set around Lingèvres in Normandy that will start on Monday October 6th

The tournament involves three separate scenarios from Le Franc Tireur (LFT 46, 47 and 49) and is designed to be played as a Campaign, with the overall winner being determined by Campaign Game VP rather than a win-loss scenario basis.

I am looking for a minimum 12 and a maximum of 18 players who can commit to finishing three scenarios by the end of January. Please note that we are likely to have entries from Taiwan ranging across the Pacific to as far as East Coast USA, so all entrants will need to be flexible about when they can play.

NB: there is no Entry Fee.

Entries close at 11:00PM, New Zealand Time (UTC + 13 hours) Sunday 28 September.

The Tournament site is hosted on its own Discord and all games are to use Discord for Voice, so entrants will need to have access to Discord.

The scenarios are not large by any means and should easily be able to be completed in 2-3 sessions.

Players will be randomly assigned their side for the duration of the tournament (British or German) and assigned to pools according to their ASL Player Rating.

Please note that the OBs may be modified for Scenarios 2 and 3 based on your result from the previous game.

All games will be played Live on VASL. Logs will be required for the purposes of administering the Campaign.
All games are to be played with either VASL 6.6.9/6.6.10 or preferably VASL 6.7.1 Beta 5. DO NOT use the 6.7.0 release as it is broken.

The tournament uses a Modified Sniper Rule. The main premise is to reduce the lethality and impact of SANs in these smaller scenarios.

If you wish to enter, please DM me and I will provide you with a invite to the Snake-Eyes Tournament Discord server.

Do you have European players ?
Eric, while I'm not looking to turn away players, Time zones and mutually acceptable playing windows get ore difficult the broader the geographical spread. This is why I ask everyone to be flexible about the time they can lay, be it mornings or evenings generally. You should be able to average one session of 2-3 hours per fortnight. What I cannot afford is to have games not start or finish. I haven't set a specific end time for the first round, but I'm hoping that everyone can complete their games within 4-5 weeks. Because it is a mini-Campaign each previous game has a bearing on the next round.

Please note that because I run these tournaments for enjoyment and love of the game and at considerable personal time commitment, I have zero tolerance for forfeits, lack of communication and no-shows.

So bearing this in mind, if you feel you can commit to playing three games over the next 4 months against 3 opponents that may primarily be located in Asia or the Americas, I'll be more than happy for you to participate.

Hi all, we're now at 11 confirmed players , so there are only 7 more spaces available if we get to 18 players. The minimum numberfor the tourney to proceed is 12 players. Get in while you can.

John and I started round 1. His Brits are cautiously approaching while I try to shift to his schwerpunkt. He has found both hidden AT guns (and there are 2 burning tanks) and 3 minefields (one hs unscathed, one still in the mines and a full squad blown to bits). So far, tense and very unresolved.
