Hi gents,

The SaP2 "VICTORY CONDITIONS read: The Germans win at game end by amassing > 5 VP. Building AA29 is worth 2 VP and buildings U34, U37, and U40 are worth I VP
each if German-Controlled. Each of these four buildings is also worth I VP if unoccupied by any Good Order Russian unit."

Are the 1 VP scored for German control of any building & the 1 VP scored if that building is unoccupied by any Good Order Russian unit mutually exclusive?

So for example if the German controls building U34 he gets 1VP. That's easy enough. However, if there are no Ruskis in that building (in addition to the Germans controlling it) does that mean he gets another I VP because it's unoccupied by any Good Order Russian unit? So 2 VPs total. Or does the I VP for a building being unoccupied by any Good Order Russian unit only applicable if that building is still Russian controlled?

Thanks,
John

Is the cumulative-reading not simply the only one that makes sense? If not, the German player could at most gain 5 VP (2+1+1+1) and thus would not be able to win the scenario, needing > 5 ...

Maybe it's not supposed to be cumulative, but the main skill in playing the scenario is in not picking the Germans...

I bet the VC actually says ">= 5" - not >".....and yes, they are cumulative.

Good point - I completely overlooked that.

We read the VC wrong when we played this. Frustrating. I am not certain its that easy to parse what they were going for........

I like the title of this scenario. Especially since I’m used to my much larger German dogs…

But I still want an official opinion of how the VC works!

Actually the VCs are part of the attractiveness of the scenario as they remove the all or nothing nature of building control. Here it is possible to the very end to attack or counterattack and grab a single VP that could make a difference between win and loss. Hope we'll see more of that VC type for future scenarios.

This is an interesting and good point.
