This week's FNF game is a Rally Point scenario where Japanese have to attack poor, defenseless Gurkhas who have to set up "south of the stream" that runs across most of Board 72. The problem is that this particular stream doesn't extend into the board edge hexes on either side.

This begs the question whether 72GG5 is within the Gurkha set up area?

I would say that GG5 is not within the Gurkha setup area (same for 72A8) and both are open ground not stream.

By your argument any hex in rows A or GG are not south of the stream and therefore not in the Gurka setup area.

Technically, it is south west of the stream. The question is whether that is southerly enough!

Is Italy south of Britain? If a term is not a term of art, we should use its ordinary meaning. It is is a term of art, we should use its technical meaning.

Anyway, if you are sending even a small flanking force so far away from the objetives, I think you are getting into trouble.
