Ran into an interesting question while playing this involving the British/Japanese alliance. We were assuming that all the Japanese rules were still in play even after the end of WWII, but weren't sure about the No Quarter status, since the British probably wouldn't have been ready to massacre surrendering Viet Minh.
We played it that it was No Quarter against the Japanese but not against the British until the Japanese were in a position to eliminate a unit that would otherwise have surrendered, and then it was NQ across the board.
Not sure if that was the right way to play it, but that seems to be working. It would be interested to get an official word on how to play it.
