Periodic update on the "Grand Chronological Campaign" between myself and John Lehman. 11 1/2 years in.

We started in March, 2015, and have completed 398 scenarios.
John holds a 6 game lead with 202 Wins, to my 196 wins. Averaging 34-35 games per year. We clearly are VERY WELL matched.

We are playing ONLY AH/MMP material in Chronological Order, with a few exceptions. I have an Excel Spreadsheet with this information.
We started with "O5 - The Tsar's Infernal Machines" (1914) in Operations Magazine, and we are currently up to September, 1942.

The following "House Rules" are in effect:

The player who lost the last game, gets choice of side in the next game. If the ROAR balance on that scenario is 60/40 or worse, the underdog side receives the balance factor.

If new material is released that is earlier than our current campaign date, that material becomes "Jump Backs" and is played as soon as the maps for them are available in VASL. Our next scenario is a "Jump Back", "AP238 - Italian Crescendo" as the boards just recently came available. "J270 - Streets of Rostov" (24 JUL 1942) is also a "jump back" as one of the required overlays hasn't appeared in VASL yet.

Our next "regular" game in our chronology would be "VotG19 - Cellar Dwellers" (17 SEP 1942), unless new "jump backs" become available to play (boards/overlays in VASL), and the Marco Polo Bridge set will make for several "jump backs"

We are NOT playing "Full Campaign Games", but we are playing the individual scenarios that come packed with them. We are also NOT playing any Starter Kit scenarios...

We are playing with IIFT. Full Rulebook is used (Except Battlefield Integrity)

below is a Link to Google Maps showing the locations of each battle we have played so far:

Congratulations on challenging yourselves and striving towards your goal while having fun!
What do you do when new material is released that predates the date to which you have progressed?

FYI, J270 is now playable via a SSO. Very cool effort!
Another KILLER scenario from Tom Morin. I hope he gets back into the hobby at some point, I still communicate with him on a regular basis and he is OK, he did help proof Dispatch #62 for me and I still pass scenarios I might want to publish with him as I do still appreciate his judgement and rules knowledge. Good luck with Streets of Rostov, it is a BIG fight but sure looks like it will be worth the effort.
