HIP AA Gun Concealment retention

Re the above - If a large calibre AA gun, set up in concealment terrain, HIP, engages an aircraft using heavy AA, rolls a coloured dr 1-4 ; does it then retain concealment as , say, an AT Gun in a similar position would firing at a ground target.

If you are in LOS of a GO enemy unit you will be placed on board when you fire, you can't remain HIP.
If you are using Heavy AA fire the DR you make is a TH DR (per E7.52) so depending on the range to the nearest GO enemy unit you can keep concealment on a colored 1-4 or 1-5 per A12.34

I doubled checked E7.52 and since the Heavy AA Gun is changing their CA per E7.52 they will lose concealment if in LOS of a GO enemy unit.

You can set up in AA mode, then presumably you would retain concealment.

If you read E7.52, whenever you make a Heavy AA attack you MUST change you CA based on the colored dr of the attack and such a CA change will result in losing concealment if in LOS of a GO enemy unit.

I have never made one ! But, in an up coming game, SF6 STRUGGLE WITHOUT END the Japanese have a 120L AA gun, and the Americans have an OBA Aerial Observer ...it's just too tempting not to try and KO the US OBA early on, even though the gun is great v Infantry and AFVs ...

I played this scenario a few years ago and the gun ultimately had little impact on the ground...

I almost had a bucket list moment playing "With Iron Will" when my Russians captured a German 88mm AA gun and tried to take down a Stuka. Sadly, they missed!
