I know it's cardboard, but it kind of creeps me out when there are real people's names on the counters. If anybody ever makes a scenario with my uncle as heroic leader I for sure won't ever play that one!

Oh I don't know - there is a British 1-4-9 named Hall...I use him every time I can, and he invariably perishes ..

( my surname is Hall )...

On VASL, if I'm playing German and a hero us generated, he is always Halle...he invariably perishes too !

The Croix de Guerrero HASLfor the Dinant has a Rommel he can’t aid firing but he’s can aid bridge building. Roadblock clearing and a morale boost for units within 2 hexes

it also has a Vichy Hero counter that is something to behold.

Thanks for the mentioning the "hero," and for mentioning Rommel's attributes (and I've seen his 10-3 listing from older 2012 posts here also) as they should be in an ASL module. My CH Arnhem "The Third Bridge" ziploc bag came in the mail with the map that I assume comes from Dave Lamb. Love it! Also, this CH packet includes Anthony Hopkins "Lt.-Col. Frost" in with two small counter sheets. It looks swell next to my MMP "Decision at Elst" module that I also own.

Guys, I also know a little more about scenario MM53 now. Jewish partisans group ZZW are radically different from Alan Findlay's "Partisans" packet that I purchased two months ago. The Jews have squads of 3-3-7 (which is standard) and 3-(1)-7.

I think I'll try to get Tom Cundiff to see if he can make these. We'll see how that goes. The two leaders are 8-1 and 9-0 (which is listed as a PO). Just imagine them getting their hands on captured German equipment like an MG-34 or MG-42...? That would assist their cause in "Murankowska 6." I could attach the scenario as a file, but it's copyrighted.

Thanks Michael. I will. The reason I switched subjects is that I sent out an inquiry to the Tapios, but I couldn't get much feedback after their initial reply (which is fine).

It seems like the process to make the custom-order personalized ASL SMC is a challenge now .... expenses, etc. Maureen was kind enough to let me know.

It seems like it's still available. I just told them I would cover this idea at a different time - and just to cancel the request for now.

I'll try and start a thread on MM53 soon. An interesting Axis Minor (small group of maybe 8 squads) is also in the scenario.
